THIS IS TRAFFICKING: Rescue is Rare

MYTH Most trafficking situations end with a rescue or intervention.

REALITY Intervention is rare. Many trafficking situations remain hidden for months or years. Traffickers often use fear, manipulation, dependency, and control to keep victims from seeking help or leaving. When victims do exit, it is often through trust, support, safe relationships, and long-term recovery rather than a dramatic rescue. Recovery is a process, not a moment.
